The Retreat

​

Join us for a 5-day retreat in the serene setting of Northern Thailand:

  • Rejuvenate with twice daily yoga, mindfulness and breath-work practice.

  • Reconnect daily with your true essence, what’s important to you and what you want in your life through daily life coaching sessions and practices. 

  • Unwind with daily activities connecting with nature and local culture.

  • Nourish yourself with delicious Thai vegetarian food in the serene setting of the Maekok River Village Resort.

 

The 5-day retreat will be led by Alexa & Monica.

Please note this is a women-only retreat and is designed to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space for all attendees.

The Place

​

The Maekok River Village Resort is a small boutique hotel idyllically located on the banks of the Mae Kok River with sweeping views across the valley to the distant forested mountains. The peaceful, rural setting makes an ideal location to escape from it all.


The local town is nestled into hills bordering Burma with a famous complex of Wats (temples) making it an attractive setting with a fascinating cultural diversity and rich history.

Food & Accommodation

You have the option of single or shared room.

 

All the rooms are comfortable deluxe rooms with a private garden area for you to enjoy the wonderful gardens. Each room has an en suite bathroom with a Balinese-style open shower, and is fitted with all necessary amenities including air-conditioning, mini bar, TV and WiFi.

Northern Thailand is famous for its cuisine, and you will be nourished with healthy and delicious local vegetarian food. Where possible, we will use local produce and we will also cater your specific dietary requirements should you have any. Each day will include breakfast, lunch and dinner with light snacks available throughout the day.

The Weekend

​

Arriving on Friday evening, you will be welcomed with a delicious dinner and opening ceremony.

​

Each day, Alexa will lead you through a Mindful Flow morning class followed by a nourishing breakfast. After breakfast, Monica will guide you through a coaching exploration to connect to your calm and clarity within. Each day will invite deeper curiosity and introduce tools and techniques to support you on your journey of personal growth. After a wholesome lunch, there will be some optional activities offered each day. We will then gather again for a late afternoon reflective inquiry and practice to relax and restore. Every evening after dinner, we will also have an optional activity to unwind such as a soothing yoga Nidra or a reflective journaling practice. On the last day, there will be a morning practice before a leisurely brunch to close the retreat.

Additional activities include a temple hike, a boat trip along the Mae Kok, river-tubing, Thai cooking class and bike ride through the paddy fields and a special performance from a hill tribe choir.

The Practice

​

Alexa’s teaching style incorporates her training in yoga, breath-work and mindfulness. Her practice combines traditional practices of Hatha and Vinyasa with meditation, mindfulness and relaxation, allowing students to experience the full spectrum of benefits. She also enjoy’s taking her practice out into nature to absorb the benefits of nature connection alongside the traditional practice. Alexa strive’s to make her practice accessible for all so that everyone can experience the benefits and embeds a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach into her practice.

Monica’s style is honest, compassionate and holistic. Her techniques combine both neuroscience and spirituality to support her clients in gaining clarity, access their courage and multiply their confidence as they move towards a life of greater joy, freedom and authenticity. Above all, Monica is a human coach. She believes in the power of our humanity and works with her clients to help them connect to their own, take ownership of who they are today and of who they are becoming. The strategies, tools and techniques she shares are accessible, easily applicable and fundamental to accessing our inner resourcefulness, navigating life’s challenges (calm), moving towards goals and dreams (clarity) and thriving.

About Us

As an educator, Alexa has always been passionate about supporting people develop into healthy and happy individuals in order to thrive in life.


After experiencing the transformational benefits of mindfulness, yoga and breath-work in her own life, she felt compelled to retrain in order to share the wisdom of these practices and enhance her work in education and beyond. Alexa’s work is the result of her experience working in education, training in mindfulness, yoga and breath-work and MSc in Mental Health.

Monica is a professional certified life and leadership coach based in Hong Kong, working with individuals, teams and communities committed to personal and professional growth.  Her 20+yrs in corporate along with her holistic and science-backed coach education and experience, combine in her coaching to bring a deeper connection to self, (through mind, heart and body) and practical strategies and tools to help her clients move towards a life of greater clarity, courage and confidence.

All prices are per person. The cost includes your accommodation, all sessions and activities, all meals and transport to and from Chiang Mai Airport. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before you travel. In the event of the retreat being cancelled by the organiser your deposit will be refunded.

*There will be one dedicated pick-up from Chiang Mai airport to Thaton and from Thaton to airport.
